Southshore’s commercial real estate development work focuses on distribution centers and office buildings for our owned real estate portfolio. Project experience includes the rehabilitation of existing buildings and the land acquisition and construction of new, independent structures.  We work directly with property end users on building design specifications and lease negotiation.

Examples of our successful Michigan commercial real estate development and project management work:

Southshore worked with Zenith Data Systems on a design, build modern distribution center of 330,000 square feet.  Southshore constructed this facility in St. Joseph, Michigan, and we own and perform warehousing logistics and fulfillment in the facility today.

Southshore is proud to have worked on a series of Michigan real estate development projects with Berrien Mental Health Authority (Riverwood) and Child & Family Services of Southwestern Michigan, Inc.; and extensive tenant improvement projects for Dollar General Corporation and Adorn, L.L.C.

Southshore served as Owner's Representative and Project Manager for the construction of a 40,000 square foot medical and dental clinic constructed in Benton Harbor, Michigan using $8.5 million of ARRA federal funding.  Southshore coordinated the design, construction and federal reporting for this project.
